Sermet is an expert in food production processes, efficiency, quality and R&D. He leads operations efficiency and production savings initiatives for CustomerLAB clients. Sermet has worked for over 10 years in North American food industry and, most recently advised food industry clients across the country as Director of Food Technology for a US-based food process-engineering firm. He is very familiar with productivity and regulatory practices in large and small companies across the continent. He specializes in finding simple, effective ways to boost productivity and streamline workflow without compromising product taste, appearance, quality or safety. Dr. Sermet Yalçinkaya is a member of The Institute of Food Technologists (IFT), American Dairy Science Association, The Instrumentation, Systems and Automation Society and frequently sits on industry scientific and regulatory committees. Sermet holds international undergraduate and Masters degrees in Food Science Engineering, and earned his doctorate in Food Science from the University of Alberta.
